Introduction to Meditation

This half-day course provides a practical introduction to the practice of meditation.  It will include explanations of the basic practices of Buddhist meditation, as well as the experience of three different guided meditations and time to answer your questions.

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.  If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort and so we will experience true happiness and relaxation.  But if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy and relaxed even if we are living in the very best conditions.

10.00-10.45am: Meditation Essentials
10.45-11.00am: Break
11.00am-11.45am: Stages and Types of Meditation
11.45am-12.00pm: Break
12.00-12:45pm: Your Personal Practice and Q&A

No Experience Necessary.
Please join us if you reside on Vancouver Island or any of the surrounding islands.*
Suitable both for those new to mediation and those who wish to refresh their knowledge of techniques.
