The Ultimate Path to Freedom
The practice of the stages of the path to liberation can be condensed into the three higher trainings of higher moral discipline, higher concentration and higher wisdom. These trainings are called ‘higher’ because they are motivated by renunciation. They are therefore the actual path to liberation that we need to practise.

The Liberating Power of Pure Imagination
What kind of world does a Buddha see? Buddhas or enlightened beings perceive only pure things, a pure world. Because only complete purity appears to a Buddha’s mind, a Buddha experiences only pure happiness. How can we come to perceive our impure world in the way that a Buddha perceives a pure world?

Everyone wants to be happy, and no one wants to suffer, but very few people understand what is the real cause of happiness, and what is the real cause of suffering. Throughout history human beings have sought to improve their external situation, yet despite all our efforts many would say we are no happier. Where do we look to find this happiness that seems so elusive?
