Creating Inner Peace

Drop-In Meditation Classes

Apr 14, 21, 28, May 5 | 10.30-11.30am

IN-PERSON

It may be difficult to imagine, but all of us have the capacity to develop extraordinarily peaceful states of mind. Buddha taught that everyone can develop an inner peace that remains steady amidst the challenges of everyday life. In this 4-part series, through teachings and guided meditations, we will learn strategies for developing and maintaining inner peace.

WEEKLY TOPICS

APR 14 ~ The Potential of our Mind

Many think the brain is the mind but in fact, this is not so.  By understanding the nature of our mind, we realize we can find the peace we yearn for.

APR 21 ~ The Potential of Meditation to Transform our Mind

Meditation is a scientifically proven technology for calming the mind and creating mental peace.

APR 28 ~ The Benefits of Developing Patience

We often believe that if external circumstances were different, we’d be happier.  Yet, challenges arise no matter how much effort we apply to our outside conditions.  Buddha taught how to find peace no matter what is happening.

MAY 5 ~ Using Whatever Happens to Grow Peace

Developing the wisdom to transform challenges and obstacles into teachers gives us the ability to reduce our suffering when things do not go as we wish.
