Suitable for everyone!  These classes offer practical methods to improve the quality of our lives through meditation and Buddhist teachings.  See detailed course descriptions below.

DAY:  Tuesday, 10.00-11.00am

WHERE:  Cook Street Village Activity Centre | 380 Cook St., Victoria |Elderberry Room in the Wellness Centre

COST:  Activity Centre Members ($32 all 4 classes); General ($37);  Drop-in (if there is space) $10 per class

Pre-registration is recommended by phone or in person before the series begins on Feb 7.  Please arrive a few minutes early before the class is scheduled to begin.

Sometimes in life we can feel unsatisfied, bored, or purposeless. How can we live a more meaningful life? Buddha taught the Four Noble Truths to explain the real meaning of our human life.  In this series we will explore meditations and teachings that bring happiness and purpose to our daily life.

Krista is a member of the Teacher Training Program and has lead the guided meditation on Tuesdays for many years.  She frequently teaches our Saturday classes and has a regular Tuesday afternoon class.  Krista is well known for her kind and gentle delivery of Dharma teachings.

Q. What are the COVID protocols for participants?
  • Stay home if sick or not feeling well
  • Masks are optional
Q. Do I need to have any experience?
No. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
Q. How should I dress?
No special clothing is required, come as you are.
Q. Is there any physical exercise involved?
No. The classes focus on meditation and teachings alone. You can choose to sit on a chair or meditation cushion.
Q. Do I need to book in advance?

Please just drop in a few minutes before the class starts and pay at the door with cash or cheque.  Members just tick their name on the list.
