Basics of Buddhist Belief
Part of the Faith and the Logical Mind series
The life we wish to have and the world we wish to experience are created upon the foundation of faith and reason. Faith is not simply belief. When faith is based on reasoning it becomes a powerful force for good in our lives.
In this class, Gen Zopa will explain the basics of Buddhist beliefs. Buddhism is the practice of Buddha’s teachings, also called ‘Dharma’, which means ‘protection’. By practising Buddha’s teachings, living beings are permanently protected from suffering. We need to practise Buddha’s teachings because there is no other real method to solve human problems.
NEW: A 10-15 minute question and answer period has been added at the end of each class.
No Experience Necessary.
