Basics of Buddhist Meditation
Part of the Your Meditation Practice Series
In this half day course, Rae Supeene will provide a practical introduction to the practice of meditation. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort and so we will experience true happiness and relaxation. But if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy even if we are living in the best conditions.
This course will include specific instructions on the types and stages of meditation, as well as the proper position of the body. Each session is 1 hour and will include a meditation. There are two handouts for the class. They will be accessible starting Feb 10 at the same link as the video access. That link will be in the credit card receipt that comes when you register.
