Rejoicing in Our Virtue
A Bodhisattva is a person who, motivated by great compassion, has developed a spontaneous wish to attain enlightenment for the sake of all living beings. We can learn to follow the Bodhisattva’s way of life by practicing the six perfections of giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration, and wisdom. In this course we will learn how to emulate the thoughts and deeds of a Bodhisattva and transform our ordinary daily life into the Bodhisattva’s way of life.
In this meditation class, we will focus on the Perfection of Effort
Effort is a mind that delights in virtue. With effort, we can purify all our negativities and attain whatever good qualities we wish for. We practice effort when we apply ourself enthusiastically to Dharma study or meditation, strive to accomplish Dharma realizations, or put effort into helping others.
