Suitable for everyone! These guided meditations are practical methods to improve the quality of our lives through meditation and Buddhist teachings.
Drop in. No registration needed. Please arrive a few minutes before the meditation starts.

Our book shop is open before and after the meditation. We have an assortment of books on Buddhism, gift cards, Buddha images, malas (prayer beads), and prayer booklets. (cash or cards accepted)

Start your weekend with a peaceful, grounded mind! Meditation may seem difficult, but it becomes easier and more focused when we rely upon Buddha’s authentic meditation instructions.
In these Friday after-work sessions, we will practice Buddhist meditations as well as learn about Dharma teachings we can carry into our daily activities.
Join us every Friday in KMC Victoria’s beautiful meditation room.

These Friday meditations inlude practical and inspiring Dharma teachings along with guided meditations, designed to provide you with helpful tools and advice to manage and reduce negative states of mind.
Learn to experience inner peace both in and out of meditation. Meditations are suitable for both beginners and more advanced meditation practitioners.
TEACHER
Debbi Jones is a member of the Teacher Training Program and teaches Friday mornings at Brentwood Bay. Debbi has more than 20 years secondary school teaching experience and enjoys sharing the practical benefits of meditation in daily life.

Q. Do I need to be a Buddhist to attend?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind
Q. Do I need to have any experience?
No. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
Q. How should I dress?
No special clothing is required, come as you are.
Q. Is there any physical exercise involved?
No. The sessions focus on meditation and teachings alone. You can choose to sit on a chair or meditation cushion.
Q. Do I need to book in advance to attend in person?
No, please just drop in a few minutes before the session starts.
Q. What is your policy regarding fragrance?
We strive to be a scent free environment. Please help us keep the air we share healthy and fragrance free. The chemicals used in scented products can make some people sick, especially those with fragrance sensitivities, asthma and allergies.
Q. What is your policy regarding late arrival?
Our doors open 15 minutes before class start. Kindly arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the session starts to facilitate getting seated. Out of kindness for our volunteers, students and Teachers, we cannot accommodate latecomers. Thank you for your understanding.
