DAY:  Mondays, 10.30-11.45am

WHERE:  SHOAL Centre | Card Room, 2nd Floor | 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney BC

COST:  $15 per class or FREE with Membership

IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE: No registration necessary

Please arrive a few minutes early at the SHOAL Centre and pay $15 when entering the classroom (cash or cheque only) or just check in if a member.

The World Needs Bodhisattvas – Become a Friend to Everyone

A Bodhisattva is someone who dedicates their life to loving kindness; their main purpose is to help others be happy. If we follow Buddha’s advice and practice giving, patience, moral discipline, effort, concentration, and wisdom, we can all become Bodhisattvas. Becoming a friend to everyone can be our life’s purpose.

Krista is a member of the Teacher Training Program and led the guided meditation on Tuesdays for many years.  Recently, she has been teaching a Tuesday morning class at the Cook Street Village Activity Centre.  Krista is well known for her kind and gentle delivery of Dharma teachings.

Q. Do I need to be a Buddhist to attend?

No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind.

Q. Do I need to have any experience?
No. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
Q. How should I dress?
No special clothing is required, come as you are.
Q. Is there any physical exercise involved?
No. The classes focus on meditation and teachings alone. You can choose to sit on a chair or meditation cushion.
Q. Do I need to book in advance?

Please just drop in a few minutes before the class starts and pay at the door with cash or cheque.  Members just tick their name on the list.
